The Jazz Hole
Another wonderful afternoon spent at ACME, dodging a rare Los Angeles downpour, and signing my new Simpsons screen print.
I actually worked on this last year, but the process took longer than I expected, so it will be released next month and will be also sold at the San Diego ComicCon.
I have an update to this post. The piece can be viewed (and purchased) on the DARK INK site.
A Stunning View of Space Exploration
This wonderful video from Erik Wernquist, featuring the voice of Carl Sagan, is truly amazing. But, for more insight, I recommend visiting the io9 site which provides a wonderful breakdown of all the actual places represented in the video.
A new Christmas Classic!
I was very fortunate to be asked to design the logo for How Murray Saved Christmas – a show that promises to be a fantastic animated Christmas classic.
From the pen of Mike Reiss (The Simpsons), the show features the voice talents of Jerry Stiller, Peter Alexander, Sean Hayes, Dennis Haysbert, and Kevin Michael Richardson.
Nice to see the logo animated in this behind the scenes look at the show from TV Guide!

How Murray Saved Christmas
It’s the season, folks!
The season to stuff ourselves, devolve into maniacs in the mall parking lot, and get pelted with obnoxious shopping ads (no, I’m not giving my wife a Lexus with a bow on it on Xmas morning).
But it’s also the season to spend a little extra time with loved ones, and observe some family traditions. There’s a new Christmas special in NBC this year, and it looks like a lot of fun – and, I was lucky enough to help by designing the show’s logo. It is called How Murray Saved Christmas , and it was animated by Rough Draft Studios, and directed by the incredibly talented Peter Avanzino.
Give it a look on December 5th at 8/7c on NBC – it may very well become a new family tradition. And I promise it will be better than trying to park at the mall.
Considering buying a new bike.
I’ve had my Altima for a few years now, and while it’s been a great car, it feels a little dated now. Call it a mid-life crisis if you’d like, but I’m looking for something more exciting, something that’ll turn heads, and perhaps allow me to blast to smithereens some of the morons on the 405 freeway.
This is the bike I’m looking for, and it just might be my gift to myself this holiday season.
Bananas!
To quote a friend, “this is bananas!” And he’s right. This is the kind of work that makes music videos worth watching, and should inspire others to step up and push the creative envelope. I’m not a video artist, but after watching this even I felt I have to try harder. This definitely falls under “things I like.” Enjoy! (And make sure to watch the behind the scenes.)

My submission is titled “Death of Binks”, and it is an homage to Jacque Louis David’s “Death of Marat.”
True Grit Limited Edition Movie Poster Release
My take on the Coen Brothers’ True Grit poster – as a classic Italian Western. Originally created for the LTD Gallery show celebrating the films of Joel and Ethan Coen, the Il Grinta limited edition giclée prints are now available for sale directly from me. The main edition (red color) is limited to 20 hand-numbered and signed prints which I am selling for $40. There is also a very limited variant run (blue color) of only 10 prints, also hand-numbered and signed. The variant is selling for $60. The prints are 18″x24″ and printed on heavy archival paper.
